Woking security officer wins award for ‘top-notch’ service

Patrick Gregory, 54, works for ADP Security Systems and was nominated for his achievements while working on contracts at Gorse Hill, DeVere Venues in Woking and East Hampshire District Council in Petersfield. Although he is still new to the security industry, Patrick was nominated for his outstanding service and ability to deal with any challenge that is presented to him. He is capable of learning and applying himself to any requirement, which has led him to being trained in new tasks and enhancing ADP’s client service.

Keirn Bush, Business Manager at ADP Security Systems, comments: “Patrick has a sense of pride and a kind nature that means he will deliver the highest level of service that he can. In one of his roles at East Hampshire District Council, Patrick’s colleagues described his work as a top-notch service and we would agree. His aptitude to show initiative is particularly impressive and this was demonstrated when he voluntarily re-wrote a 30-page instructions document for officers at East Hampshire District Council as well as the checklist for locking up. This attention to detail enables all guards to provide a better quality of service. Patrick is a jolly, honest and dedicated man whom we are lucky to have working at ADP – it is not often that you find a Patrick!”

James Gardiner, General Manager at Gorse Hill, DeVere Venues, Woking, adds: “Patrick is one of those people who gives you confidence in his ability and makes you feel at ease. His initiative and eagerness to learn is refreshing and he will take extra time out of paid hours to learn aspects of the job if needed. Over the years the security officers have varied but you do get some outstanding individuals and Patrick is certainly one of them.”

Winning officer, Patrick Gregory, says: “I am pleased to have won this award. It is a very good job to have particularly when the country is struggling economically because security is needed even more. My job is interesting and varied and I’m never in the same place twice.”

The BSIA’s Security Personnel Awards are presented regionally throughout the UK, with the winners going forward to the national judging phase. The national winners will be presented with their awards at the Association’s annual luncheon on 14th July at the London Hilton, Park Lane.

The BSIA would like to thank Camberford Law plc – specialist insurance brokers to the security industry – for sponsoring the awards for the twelfth successive year.
